This "teen lounge" was featured in the 2012 Atlanta Symphony Associates "Decorator's" Show House and Gardens, designed by Bryan Alan Kirkland Designs. What a lucky teen to have a space like this to chill, entertain friends, and relax! I would love to have this as a home office to make work feel a lot more glamorous! I love his use of color, pattern, and finishes in this cozy space. He created such a rhythmic balance between the wall covering and the upholstery on the chair, as well as the rug and the lighting fixture. The clear lucite table doesn't take up much visual space allowing the dress maker details of the custom banquette to be seen. The wooden pedestal that holds the colorful glass sculpture, in my opinion, adds a grounded sensibility to the space along with the desk that is somewhat visible in the foreground. The magenta pillows are all the pop this room needs to further it's luxe and glamorous feel.
Make it AMAZING!
