So, we have finished painting throughout the public areas our home. The kitchen cabinets have been painted and now I'm in the throws of finding inspiration for dressing my kitchen table. My cabinets are now a very dark charcoal gray and my kitchen table is reclaimed wood in a light natural finish. I truly love the contrast of these colors! What I would like to do is have a bench with a seat cushion upholstered in natural linen, a couple of Bentwood chairs or a couple of really cool farmhouse chairs, and two linen uphostered arm chairs. Right now, I am so in love with the look and texture of burlap, linen, and sisal or jute! I love the idea of marrying elements that may appear very comfortable and casual in an elegant and polished way! I can't wait to see the end result! And yes, I will share pictures! The hunt is now on not just for what I want, but for those items at a cost that will leave a little something to place food on the table!
