Frame It!

I am searching for ways to create a beautiful, awe inspiring wall composition.  There is so much you can do to make a wall more than just merely a wall of photos.  I'm thinking, I may want to not only use photos, but art, ledges, shelving, and even more organic pieces such as branches and the like.  Hmmm...I'm seeing that!  What do you think?  You know, using one of those canvases with the street names on them, a couple of strategically placed mirrors that are more like art, a randomly placed (small) tree branch of sorts, a shelf to hold a couple of pieces, a ledge on which to lean a great photo or two, maybe leaning a larger photo on the floor, etc., etc.!  Are you seeing it?  Gosh, I love what I do!  Whichever direction I decide to go in, these images have definitely lit a spark to jump start that creative surge I need in order to get started drawing, plotting, and planning!  Can't wait to share the final outcome with you!

I so love the polaroid style frames!  How fantastic is this!  I am now on the hunt for these!  They are incredible!  What a different take on the gallery wall!  Wow!  I am in love!

Incredible idea to use two rows of gallery framed images along the wall in this hallway!  It makes it feel longer!  Cool lighting would make this space really amazing in the evening!  Is that a horse?  Oh boy!  We all know how I feel about horses right now!  Another way to make a hallway appear longer and brighter is the addition of a mirror on the wall at the end!  That stool is so cool!  Oh my gosh, those legs are fab-u-lous!  Really?  I can't believe I just said "fabulous"!  Why?  It is so over-used and I detest it almost as much as I do the word "cute"!  Ugh!

May I be honest?  I'm not quite sure how I feel about the frames in this galley kitchen!  I like it because it is different and it does give it a "gallery" feel, but I don't like it because it almost feels like the walls are closing in on me!  What do you think?  I am glad the walls are white and not a deeply saturated color, though.  If it were, I think I would feel claustrophobic!  No?  Never the less, a really nice idea!

Now this!  I adore!  The different finishes of the frames, some are ornate, some aren't; not to mention the varying sizes and randomness of how they are hung!  I'm not much into accent walls when it comes to painting one wall a different color than the others; only because it's predictable and doesn't take much thought; but designing interesting compositions on walls to create an accent wall, I can totally get with that!

Here again, I really like the idea of the framed photos on this wall behind the banquette.  It has a very "diner" type vibe going.  Also, I personally am not much into family photos in public areas of the home, BUT I would make the exception here only because the kitchen and casual dining areas, in my opinion, are all about family, friends, and love!
