Hey Gang! Ha! Gang? I'm traveling today and wanted to give you a little visual eye candy until I can get my bearings! If you're anything like me, you can really appreciate a great work space where you have enough room to spread out and have mini work stations for various tasks! One day, when I have the nerve, I will photograph the two main work spaces that I have in my home so that you can see how I really work! I have a place where I work on my laptop, a place where I sift through fabrics and paint swatches, and a place where I thumb through catalogs and magazines. I know that I could probably do all of these in one place, but for some reason I feel more comfortable doing these in their own mini work spaces.
Back to what I was saying about this work space! Anyhoo, the long table makes it possible to spread out and do many tasks that the day calls for. I love this! The cabinet is great for storage and organization of items that need to be seen and kept handy for use at a moments notice. Enough can't be said for great lighting! Natural light is the best! Although I think overhead lighting is the worse, it does have it's place in a room and these pendants are fantastic! I would however, have a task lamp on the table for that much needed lighting when performing specific tasks. You know, that occasion when I do hand drawings and renderings! The benches are great, but I would definitely need a chair that has lumbar support! I sit at the laptop alone for quite long periods at a time! The overall look and feel of this space appeals to me because of the finishes, the textures, and definitely that natural lighting!
