I just can't get enough of black in interiors! It can be absolutely breathtaking when done right! I was going to do a completely different posting until I saw the photo of Kate Moss shot by Steven Klein for the March 2012 issue of W magazine! I have a client whose, at the time, 18 year old son wanted a black bedroom and they thought he was being rebellious! I thought, wow, what a very arresting young man this is! Once it was painted, in a satin finish of course, and the steel gray draperies were hung, the parents had been won over! It is one of my favorite rooms to date! Not sure you have the chutzpah to do a black room? Well, fear not, you can still infuse black into your spaces in small doses; but beware that black, in any amount will command attention! So be judicious in your design plan and your choice of elements! A little really does go a long way!
