I have a Creative Ideas board on Pinterest, where I post ideas that I come across that make me go hmmm, I will try that! Well, someday, anyway! I love the blogs, magazines, and websites that feature all of the DIY and creative tips and ideas that seem relatively easy to do! I'm just not much of a DIY'er! Or maybe, it's not that I'm not much of one, as much as it is I don't think I have enough time to start something that I may not finish or if I finish, it may take forever! Whatever the case may be, I do enjoy collecting all of the ideas and inspirations in hopes that the bug may bite and I can try many, if not all, of the wonderful ideas that are waiting to be tried! Some of the ideas I'm posting below, I can honestly say I've done! Yaay for me! So, obviously, they didn't take much time at all!
What a great idea to cover a pin board with your choice of fabric and use push pins, hooks, or decorative nails to hang long necklaces! Instead of keeping those really pretty trays hidden away in drawers, why not bring them out and let them keep bracelets, watches, and other accessories handy! What a big help this was to me, especially for the long necklaces!
Using votive glasses, or even drinking glasses that no longer are apart of a set to organize makeup brushes or using as vases is a wonderful way to repurpose those containers that are probably much to pretty to discard!
Teacups, saucers, and small bowls keep a drawer organized and pretty for those smaller, more delicate pieces! I totally did this!
Turning a picture frame into a vanity tray is a really lovely idea, especially when you have a very pretty ornate frame like the one above! My daughter has something very similar to this on her dresser! It's not as tidy! Who am I kidding, I clean and organize it almost daily!
Painting ordinary glass bottles, using washi tape, and paper doilies is a great way to recycle and decorate really cute vases!
Using a cookie sheet to create a magnetic board is genius! Just cover in a fun fabric, find decorative magnets, and start placing!
I need to do this above my desk! I have the clothes pins, so I would just have to buy the wire; and I may already have that! I have plenty of note cards and old business cards that I could just use the backside of and voila!
This is a terrific idea that wouldn't take much at all! Just mount a couple of simple curtain rods and using your fabric of choice you have a place to put light weight books, magazines, newspapers,etc.!
Oh my gosh! This is one that I totally need to carve out space for in one of the closets! It's just mounting a bar, like a shower curtain rod or something similar; using shower curtain rings, binder clips, and zip lock bags! How creative is this! With all of the little arts and crafts pieces that we have placed in shoe boxes, this would be so much better and easier to find!
Monogram labels that you place in lacquer trays to personalize!
